Braces and gaiters for Bonnevilles

Triumph performance and styling specialist Norman Hyde has updated his range of fork braces for modern Hinckley-built Bonnevilles with a new design to fit the Scrambler as well as versions in a black satin finish and the option to fit fork gaiters.

Fitting a fork brace is a popular modification on post-1999 Bonnevilles as it helps to keep the front end 'straight and true'. CNC-machined in the UK from solid aluminium alloy the Hyde fork brace is light, stiff and has a satin finish that blends with the bike's styling.

Rubber gaiters were fitted as standard to many Bonnevilles in the Sixties and Seventies and Norman produces replica Triumph style gaiters for modern Bonnevilles supplied with the original type clips. Matching fork braces, containing nylon rings that provide a secure fit for the gaiter, are available in both original and black finish.

Models covered now include the standard Bonneville, SE and T100, fitted either with 19” spoked or 17” cast wheels, Thruxton and Scrambler. Hyde designed all of his fork braces to be fitted without needing to remove the forks. The Thruxton model allows for the centre rib mudguards and the Scrambler version rises higher to accommodate the bike's large front wheel. Should owners wish to fit a Hyde front mudguard too, the underside of the fork brace has tapped holes into which it may be firmly screwed.
