Description
The powers that be have decreed that the latest generation of motorcycles have to fitted with quite substantial catalytic converters. Removing a very small amount of pollutants from what is generally a low mileage vehicle may or may not contribute much to saving the planet. (next time your struggling through city traffic trying not to breath too much smog from all the clapped out taxis you might take a view). However one thing the cat is very effective at is making your Triumph sound like a mid 80’s 250 Honda. So where the law etc is permitting removing it will save just under 2kg and it most certainly will improve the sound, even with stock pipes, but more so with TOGA pipes (of course)
SO FAR ALL MODELS TESTED HAVE NOT REQUIRED ANY RE-MAPPING WHEN FITTING THIS TO REMAIN “SAFE”
**OUR ADVICE IS TO DYNO AFTER FITTING**
Fitting a PCV is the best current solution. Booster plugs and similar will often mask a specific low rpm issue but cannot get close to what can be achieved by a Power Commander.
Please treat with an enormous degree of scepticism claims from other less thorough (and shall we say scrupulous) that no modes are required and the bike “self learns”. Some of them have been making these claims before some of the models were even launched. You figure!
MADE IN ENGLAND FROM BEAD BLASTED STAINLESS STEEL. ALL FITTING POINTS RETAINED INCLUDING OE BASH PLATE. NOTHING ON THE MARKET MORE ROBUST.
Will fit all the 2016/1718 Bonneville/THRUXTON/BOBBER/STREET TWIN ETC range except the Street Scrambler.
ON LATER EURO 5 MODELS THAT HAVE THE REAR PIPES WELDED TO THE CAT THIS CANNOT BE USED.
